from fredo @foolish pride tattoos:
"this was done at the Adrenaline Project in Vinoy Park yesterday pretty dope cause it was right by the stage so bombing and having a concert behind you was pretty ill and next to us was a motocross exhibition and a half pipe too...i guess they're gonna put it at some skate park here in town and make it a permanent fixture"

Graffiti Cheech Wizard, didn't make it
this blog entry is going to be quick. I just wanted to share this pic with everyone.
the cheech wizard and junk waffle (by Vaughn Bode) have had a HUGE influence on earlier graffiti characters(and mine is no different).
I swiped it myself for this piece of pencil art(supposed to be at the skate park of tampa's Corporate Funk Art Show Sept 19th 2008). the subject matter is on RFID chips placed in humans for satellite tracking. Once I scan and piece the rest of this artwork together I'll post it here for all to see.
I never made it to the show...So I'll at least post it for you in its entirety.. Stay tuned...Always Fresh, Always Clean...ENJOY!

Graffiti Piece at the ybor cigar theater
I made this a few weeks ago, it's got about another 2 weeks at the ybor city cigar theater. Hasn't sold, but then again nothing has been selling for a hot second. With the way the economy has been the last 2 years, who has money for graffiti artwork. Some artists are sellin like crazy, me, well just the commercial stuff right now.
Its spray paint on foam core. about 6 and half feet tall by 5 and a half feet wide. I have it for $250 right now. If it doesn't sell by the end of August, I'll probably just bring it home.

We have lift off!
Graffiti is a crime in the eyes of the few, whom have money, businesses, and a stake in the community's finacial well being.
Graffiti is NEVER looked at as a crime to those who make their mark on the wall. It is a form of expression usually by the poor, beat down peasents of society, in order to tell their story, their feelings and their point of view, in picture form. And they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
But which thousand words?
I started this blog to keep a time capsule so to speak of graffiti and how it changes through time.
When I was in high school, graffiti was a rush. It was illegal. It was taboo. And there weren't any real outlets for persueing a career in graffiti.
KRS-ONE coined the phrase, "I'm out for fame", writing my name in graffiti on the wall.
And then he goes on to say, "Graffiti isn't corporate, so it gets no respect, it hasn't made a billion dollars for some coprporation yet."
So thats the purpose behind this new blog on graffiti. In the coming months and years I plan to keep this blog up and keep it moving forward.
If ANYONE would like to comment or send me pics of graffiti you shoot and send a description of it and where everyone can find it, this would be much appreciated.
Send anything you've got to, theorem22@gmail.com and address them to Scott.
Especially unusual and different pieces.
thanks,
Scott Elvis Caron
